At the beginning of a web (or application) development project I always create the sketches first. While sketching can be done on a blank paper, it’s much better to use a sketch template. For me that is the best and most productive way to work on and improve my ideas before application development begins (and things get more complicated :-)). This way I won’t pay too much attention to some details that should be taken care of later, but stay focused on general layout and functionality.
Below you will find more than 20 resources that you can use in sketching phase of application development. If you have some additional resources to share, please leave a comment so I can add them to the list.
And, of course, don’t forget to share your wireframes on I ♥ wireframes :-)

We have designed own sketchbook specifically for iPad apps design. It is mostly similar in spirit with AppSketchbook.
You can check it at http://www.ipadsketchbook.com/en.
We will ship worldwide, pre-order is available as for now.
I think it would be nice if you add mention of it to your post.

Really excellent collection of resources. Thanks for sharing.
This is a real keeper of a link.
Have seen it once before, but on the second viewing it’s even more relevant! :-)
Being able to print off (many of) these templates is so useful, relevant and cool.
I specially like the iPhone (mobile) ones, which can be cut out and stuck or re-arranged on a desk.
This is an amazing, excellent and wonderful post in terms of content, ideas and resources. I really liked i-phone sketchpad idea. Instead of sketching the shell repeatedly, one can focus on the interaction details.
too cool for school!
awesome ideas

Thanks for these, just what I needed :)
Very useful. I’ve been using Omnigraffle for flow diagrams and Indesign for wireframes for a while. If you google ‘EightShapes Unify’ it’s got a load of templates that I’ve been using, it looks professional and saves me a mountain of time.
Amazing! thank you very much for all you put together.
Very nice. Thanks.
Awesome! While I use digital frameworks a majority of the time, I truly feel like doing things by hand is the way to release more of your natural creativity. Thanks for these handy printouts!
Am I the only one here who thinks that using a dedicated wire-framing tool/mockup tool like Balsamiq (http://balsamiq.com) is much more useful and customizable as compared to doing it on paper? Rather it’s more environment friendly too.
Good ideas! Thx!
You just improved my workflow tremendously – thanks so much!
